The smart way to run a vehicle

For us, environmental protection starts with fuel economy. We have decided to go the extra mile by using biofuels. Our transporters are state of the art and are therefore designed to run on biofuels. Whenever possible, we run our vehicles on biodiesel.

In addition, we are able to reduce emissions thanks to modern exhaust technology. SCR technology (Selected Catalytic Reduction) is integrated into all new vehicles. SCR is based on an ingenious concept: a non-toxic urea solution from an additional tank is mixed with the engine exhaust fumes in the catalytic convertor. Inside the catalytic converter, the harmful nitrous oxides are converted into nitrogen and water. The other attractive benefit of using urea in this way is its low consumption rate: one litre of urea is enough to process 25 litres of diesel. SCR technology is the future – here and now. We keep exhaust fumes to a minimum and comply with pan-European regulations – a significant percentage of our fleet meets the requirements of the Euro 5 emissions standards thanks to SCR technology. It also means that customers based in environmental zones within major European urban centres can still be reached without any problems.
