Our high-volume transporters are constantly on the road. So that we know where each vehicle is at any given time, we have developed a sophisticated messaging and information system. Thanks to telematics technology we can contact our drivers at any time, pinpoint the exact location of our HGVs and calculate a precise delivery time right down to the minute. Vehicle data such as speeds and velocities are recorded using telemetry. This provides us with a clear overview, which is absolutely essential if we are to provide our customers with optimum support. We generally enter into long-term agreements and set fixed deadlines. And on those rare occasions when things get delayed, alternative arrangements can be made. Most of our customers have automated their loading processes. That’s a good enough reason for us to make punctuality a top priority.
