Keeping up with the times.

Our beginnings go back to the end of the 19th century. At that time, Georg Stängle provided cartage between Härtsfeld, a manor on the estate of the Dukes of Thurn und Taxis, and the railway station in Giengen. The horse-drawn carrier later became Spedition Schwarz, founded as its successor in 1936.

The demand for logistics services increased dramatically in recent years. This was the reason we founded Schwarz Logistik as a sister of Spedition Schwarz in May 2005, and took a significant step into the future. We are a family business with our company headquarters in Herbrechtingen, and always have an eye open for market change. This is why we uphold two key factors: Tradition and progress. Our transportation network, comprising Spedition Schwarz and Kareka, along with a series of other partners in the transportation segment, ensures that we are always ideally prepared for any challenge the market may offer.

We successfully complete around 130,000 picking and provisioning operations every month. Within the Schwarz Group itself, the trucking division completes around 57,000 single journeys every year with a total tonnage transported amounting to approximately 300,000 tonnes of freight. Our full fleet of over 200 vehicles clocks up an annual mileage of 28 million kilometres – that's the equivalent of driving around the equator 699 times.
